EECMD held a series of discussions on a prominent Georgian thinker and writer, Ilia Chavchavadze. Discussions sought to elucidate the relevance of Ilia’s thinking and writings in the XXI century Georgia.

EECMD and NIMD in partnership with Clingendael organized a meeting of the Dutch, Georgian and Ukrainian politicians and civil society representatives.

Mr. Giorgi Abashishvili, head of the Administration of the President of Georgia (and a former Democracy Schools trainer for that matter) and Mr. David Rakviashvili, Secretary of the National Security Council visited the four EECMD Democracy Schools.

Eleven people were left dead after a horrible fire in the Batumi hotel. Our Democracy School in Batumi organized a discussion to see how such tragedies can be avoided.
