EECMD will continue its efforts to address the capacity of political actors, further improve political and electoral playing field and to enhance democratic political culture. This will be done through bilateral support programs to political parties, multilateral dialogue efforts to enhance the participation of women, youth and national minorities and the operation of Democracy Schools. In 2017, as well as onward the interrelated issues of political actors, culture and systems will attain heightened importance amidst rising anti-democratic sentiments, decreasing trust to political parties and in the face of further deepening polarization between various political forces.

Programatically, EECMD will focus its work towards enhancing internal party democracy and transparency, sustaining Democracy Schools in Telavi, Gori, Kutaisi and Batumi, focusing on facilitating dialogue on the issues of gender equality in politics and introducing political parties with new technological approaches and tools for improving their functioning.
