Since 2020, EECMD has been a proactive partner in Moldova’s democratic development by strengthening democratic culture, encouraging civic participation, and promoting inclusive political processes.

By bridging the gap between political parties, civil society, and the public, the organisation fosters the trust necessary for a truly participatory political environment. Through its work, EECMD supports informed engagement and creates platforms for cooperation and exchange across the political landscape.

Our Approach

EECMD focuses on strengthening democratic processes in Moldova through:

• Supporting democratic political parties through targeted institutional development;      
• Promoting civic and democracy education though EECMD Democracy School in Chișinău
• Facilitating dialogue between political actors, civil society, and citizens 
• Encouraging inclusive and participatory governance 
• Advancing gender equality and informed voter participation 
• Organizing annual Democracy Festival in Moldova
