Political Parties
Political Party Assistance Programme
EECMD’s Political Party Assistance Programme is a cornerstone of the organization’s mission, dedicated to strengthening political parties as democratic, responsive, and inclusive institutions.
With over a decade of experience supporting political parties in Georgia, Moldova, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Ukraine, EECMD works with political actors across the political spectrum to promote democratic culture, strengthen representative politics, and foster constructive political dialogue.
EECMD believes that strong democracies rely on political parties that are transparent, policy-driven, , and connected to citizens. Through long-term partnerships and context-sensitive support, the programme helps political parties strengthen their institutional capacities, improve internal processes, and enhance their ability to respond to public needs.
What We Do
EECMD supports political parties through:
- Strategic planning and institutional development
- Policy development and political programming
- Organisational strengthening and intra-party democracy
- Communication, outreach, and meaningful citizen engagement
- Capacity-building for political leaders and party structures
Our Approach
A central element of the programme is supporting political parties in developing long-term strategies and sustainable organisational structures. EECMD works directly with political parties and movements to strengthen leadership, optimize decision-making processes, and support more inclusive and effective political organisations.
The programme also promotes dialogue and cooperation between political actors, civil society, and citizens. By providing neutral and inclusive spaces for exchange, EECMD supports trust-building, constructive engagement, and collaboration across political divides.
