Prominent Belarusian activist Anatoly Lyabedzka met leaders of Georgian political parties.

Eastern European Center for Multiparty Democracy (EECMD) organized a meeting between prominent Belarusian activist Anatoly Lyabedzka and leaders of Georgian political parties.

At the meeting, the sides discussed the establishment of a group for “Democratic Belarus” in the Parliament of Georgia and the promotion of cooperation between the political parties of Georgia and Belarus. Anatoly Lyabedzka passed Svetlana Tsikhanovskaya’s teams’ message to Georgia’s politicians and people.

The deepening of relations between the civil society of Georgia and Belarus and the integration of the Belarusian diaspora in Georgia was also discussed during the meeting.

Anatoly Lyabedzka is a well-known Belarusian activist and politician and a member of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus of the XII and XIII convocations, and a former chairman of the United Civil Party of Belarus.

Currently, Mr. Lyabedzka is an advisor to Svetlana Tsikhanovskaya on Belarussian constitutional reform and heads the Center for European Dialogue.Anatoly Liabedzka’s visit to Georgia
