Third regional conference: “Money in Politics” will take place in Tbilisi on June 26-27. Organized by the State Audit Office of Georgia in partnership with Council of Europe, EECMD, International IDEA, Transparency International – Georgia, IFES and OSCE/ODIHR, the conference will address the important issues of equal access to money for women candidates, the role of civil society observers and effective financial monitoring bodies, modern developments in campaign finances, an increased role of social media, and sources of funding for political parties.  In times when we see a serious challenge to the liberal-democratic regimes globally, EECMD is glad to join forces with other organizations to facilitate a result oriented and practical discussion on the issue.
