The visit of professors from Wageningen University to Tsalenjikha has concluded. During their visit, the Dutch experts met with local farmers and learned about the current situation, challenges, and opportunities for agricultural development in the region. The agricultural development promotion project is designed to provide high-level, practical assistance for the development of Tsalenjikha and the surrounding region. It is hoped that this project will lead to long-term plans and will serve as a model for other cities.

As part of the project, the Dutch experts will develop an action plan for agriculture and economic development in the municipality, sharing their expertise with representatives of the sector and helping them define and implement quality standards for products that meet international requirements. The project is being implemented in partnership with the EECMD, with the involvement of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Georgia, the Tsalenjikha Development Fund, and the mayor of Tsalenjikha, Gia Kharchilava, and in close cooperation with the Dutch “Wageningen University and Research Institute.”
