The document reviews the experience of gender budgeting in Georgia and problem analysis at the municipal level. The local self-government plays a tremendous role in achieving gender equality because the living conditions of men and women of their municipality depend on their decisions. Local self-government will not be able to exercise good governance if it doesn’t pay enough attention to gender equality issues and women’s empowerment.
