Politics and Dialogue Training Program for Young Politicians from Kyrgyzstan

The Eastern European Centre for Multiparty Democracy (EECMD) is pleased to announce the call for applications for participation in an intensive, two week training program on democratic politics, policy-making and dialogue facilitation. The training is being organized In the framework of the REACH for Democracy Project, funded by the European Union and jointly implemented by EECMD, the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD), European Partnership for Democracy (EPD) and the Centre of Mediterranean and International Studies (CEMI) The training will take place on November 18-30 2018, in the city of Telavi at Telavi Democracy School of EECMD. The two-week training module will provide education and skills training and will focus on the issues of democracy and politics; team building and communication strategies; political parties, elections and political ideologies; public speaking, advocacy and political dialogue skills. In addition guest speaker and night owl sessions with Georgian politicians and non-profit professionals will be organized to further facilitate the sharing of experiences with the participants of the training.

Eligibility: Representatives of political parties, NGOs, media and political movements are welcome. While there are no age restrictions, we encourage the applications of young politicians and women political practitioners and activists. Preference will be given to politically active young people. Applications from women are encouraged as EECMD strives to ensure gender balance in all its programs and activities.

Funding: all costs related to the travel and participation in the training will be covered.
