EECMD launches a portal of electoral programs: www.partiyi.org

The Eastern European Centre for Multiparty Democracy (EECMD) launched a new voter information website – www.partiyi.org in Kyiv, Ukraine on July 16, 2019. The launch event was attended by the representatives of  political parties, civic society organizations, media and political analysts. The aim of the website is to communicate the electoral programs of political parties to the Ukrainian voters in the run up to the Parliamentary elections of July 21, 2019 and to ensure that political parties develop and offer a specific, results-oriented policies. The website will enable the citizens of Ukraine to make more informed decisions on the election day.

In preparation of the website, EECMD developed a questionnaire of 25 questions covering political, economic, social and environmental issues and offered the Ukrainian political parties to provide their views on how to address these. Every political party had an equal limit of 250 words per question to ensure that there were clear and concise answers provided and that voters have the ability to easily compare the views of different political parties with each other. At the moment of publication, six political parties have provided their answers. EECMD invites other political parties that have yet to respond to submit their views, which will be promptly published on the website.
